The axle assembly is done in accordance with all model specific components. In order to prepare the axle assembly all relevant components are preassembled in separate stages: anti-roll bar, differential, shock absorber, compliance bush etc. The axle, its components and other small items are put on a workpiece carrier (pallet) as required for model or type. In the conveyor section the pallet then moves the axle to the automatic bolting station where it is bolted. This is followed by an automatic measuring and setting station. Here axial run-out is measured, toe and camber are measured, set, and documented.
