x-3Dprofile Messsystem

In contrast to x-contour the x-3Dprofile sensor works on the principle of stereo photogrammetry: at least 64 laser lines are projected onto the side wall of the tire and these are detected by two cameras. With the use of this measuring principle the x-3Dprofile sensor not only has a greater measuring range but it also makes it possible to combine measurement of toe and camber, center wheel point, castor angle and king pin inclination using one compact sensor. When ride height measurement is also added to the measuring tasks a lighting module is fixed to the sensor.

x-3Dprofile’s larger measuring range is eminently suitable for handling vehicle mixes that are extreme in terms of differences in track width, ride height and tire size so there is no need for costly modifications when the vehicles produced are changed. In addition this wheel geometry measurement system requires very little maintenance, has a long lifecycle and is energy efficient. As x-3Dprofile - unlike systems using beamers - uses laser lines, it is not affected by surrounding lighting.
