On the x-dynodrive, the vehicle's driving dynamics can be tested fully automatically without any human influences and with a precise reproducibility and high process reliability.Steering actuators from the superposition steering up to the Steer-by-wire actuator can be tested, and tests with variable adhesion coefficient (ESP, ETC, µ-Split ...) can be carried out.
This is possible because Dürr Assembly Products has developed a new testing technology with the end-of-line test stand “x-road” where 4 independently controllable, highly dynamic and absolutely precisely working drive and loading units can actuate each individual wheel.
For the “tied up” vehicle on the x-dynodrive some defined, configurable environmental situations can be created. Another advantage of the “x-dynodrive” compared to the classic roll test stands is the possibility to modify the hardware and software of the vehicle in the test stand and even during the test sequence. The vehicle is safe at any time and positively connected to the test stand.
As the “x-dynodrive” test stand is not installed in a pit it is flexible in space and can quickly change the installation site in context with the project. Thus, an occasional use as a “shared test bench” by several companies or institutions is possible.
