Dürr opts for a pioneering energy concept for Campus
Dürr has developed a sustainable energy concept for its extended facilities at the Bietigheim-Bissingen location. The concept includes both renewable energy sources and an energy efficient building design. Thanks to the economic and ecologic benefits of the "Campus Energy 21" concept, 50% less energy is required compared to a conventional energy supply system. CO2 emissions are reduced by 60%. The independent Association for Renewable Energy EUROSOLAR honored Dürr with the award of the German solar prize 2008 for "Campus Energy 21" in the category "Owners or users of installations utilizing Renewable Energy". This prize is awarded to business enterprises, communities and private individuals that have earned special merits in the use of renewable energy.
