Employees

The satisfaction of our employees is of paramount importance for us. The basis is an attractive and motivating working environment and challenging jobs.            

              

Through regular employee surveys (the last one was conducted in February 2011) we obtain important feedback for improving the working climate and work situation within the company. In the surveys to date Dürr has scored well on industry comparison. Dürr’s employees are mostly satisfied with their company.

As an engineering group, we rely in special measure on the know-how, dedication and experience of our employees. We therefore organize a systematic transfer of knowledge. In 2011 employees took part in 5,215 further training measures, after 5,062 the year before.

 

Our attractiveness as an employer was again confirmed by a recent distinction awarded to our company. In the renowned “Top Automotive Employers 2010/2011” competition carried out across Germany among tiered suppliers and equipment manufacturers serving the automotive industry, Dürr finished 5th among the 25 companies which reached the finals in October 2010.

In three of the six categories assessed, we attained the highest score. Apart from innovation management, these included the ratings on work-life balance and remuneration.

In three further categories – career opportunities, training & development and corporate culture – Dürr also performed well. We had already come in 8th among 34 finalists in the “Top Employer for Engineers” ranking in the previous year.

The satisfaction of our employees is also reflected in the relatively low turnover rate of 6.0%, after 6.7% the year before. In China we have been able to reduce the rate from over 20% to 7.1% within the last three years.
