New Heavy Weight Class – Industrial Parts up to 300 kg

Dürr Ecoclean has further developed its EcoCFlex cleaning system which now further fulfils the highest of cleaning demands with flexible robotic technology. Now even industrial parts weighing up to 300 kg can be cleaned with precision.

With this new system Dürr Ecoclean is making use of the advantages and flexibility of the tried and tested EcoCFlex system, which was up until now designed for lighter components. Based on client demand from the ‘weightier’ commercial vehicle sector with low cycle times and large industrial parts, the further development of the EcoCFlex system has answered these demands with flexibility and strength.

A clever idea has enabled the implementation of well-established cleaning technology to this new application area: motors or cylinder blocks brought in on a conveyor belt are turned by 90° via a titling station, this allows the torque and leverage to be modified in a way that the robot can flexibly handle weights of up to 300 kg. The robot defiantly scores points here because of its flexibility; and not only while the realignment of the machine for varying industrial parts is the only cleaning process adjustment which can be made with little effort. Robots are especially suited to the cleaning of various industrial parts and also those with complex geometric shapes. The robots movements are modified for as long as it takes to achieve the best possible cleaning results. This feature carries significant implications when the magnitude and complexity of a truck’s motor is taken into account.

On the technology side the system combines the proven cleaning processes, which for most are carried out in the central multi-functional chamber. A spray system is installed for powerful injection flood washing (power IFW), targeted rinsing and optional high-pressure deburring. Additional equipment for further cleaning processes can be installed at any time. Depending on cleaning requirements the possibility also exists to mount further treatment systems on the outside of the multifunctional chamber. General pre-drying of the industrial parts is accomplished by intense air drying. An additional vacuum drying system, to ensure 100% drying of all the parts, can also be supplied on request.

The machine can be incorporated in different sections of the production process: whether for industrial part cleaning preparation or for fine cleaning – optimal customisation of the cleaning process takes place with little effort and in no time at all.
