EMOS.Web – process visualization made easy
The visualization of processes is an important aspect of manufacturing control. Dürr’s EMOS.Web software with its ease of operation and uniform user interface provides a clear overview of complex processes and facilitates optimum access to production systems.
With EMOS.Web Dürr has drawn on its long term experience of building industrial plants and has developed a user-oriented software platform that turns data from shop floor control systems (PLCs) into interactive graphic displays. EMOS.Web forms an integral part of Dürr’s supervisory control system EcoEMOS. It is also on the market, however, as an independent software product. The availability of all process overviews on any visual display unit allows end-users to react quickly and thus to increase plant efficiency.
One of the big advantages of EMOS.Web is its ability to process signals sent out by all PLCs irrespective of their make or manufacturer. This means that different factory areas can be visualized in a uniform way. Customers can utilize EMOS.Web quickly and easily on the principle of “plug and play“. This is assured by the selection of PowerPoint – the MS Office program in very widespread use - as a configurator. The user does not depend on external programming service providers and can generate and integrate additional views using the available system modules without involving a great deal of additional work. This capability even allows to visualize new or redesigned production areas based on a consistent uniform layout at all times.
Because of its multilinguality EMOS.Web fulfills a major requirement for global application. The connection of various functions to the factory control level (MES) is prepared, so integration into existing structures presents no problem whatever. Access via the internet makes all functions available not just across production locations but on a global basis. This software promises secure access anytime, anywhere - true to the Dürr maxim of “Service when and where you need it”.
