The new compact class: Ecopure® CTO type regenerative exhaust air purification systems

With its Ecopure® CTO (Compact Thermal Oxidation) product range, Dürr Environmental and Energy Systems (EES) is launching a new series, making the successful Ecopure® RTO technology available in a compact form especially suitable for treating smaller exhaust air streams.
Implementation of the European Directive on VOCs (volatile organic compounds) is steadily being followed through, not only in Germany but within the whole of Europe. As a result, industrial firms, generating smaller exhaust air volumes, are also looking for cost effective ways to meet these requirements.
Dürr’s Environmental and Energy Systems business unit has therefore developed a “Lean Line” concept on the basis of its RTO regenerative exhaust air purification system. The compact Ecopure® CTO, designed specifically for smaller exhaust air streams, is now available and offers lower investment and operating costs as well as maximum flexibility while taking up a minimum of space. These compact systems are offered in five sizes for purification capacities ranging from approx. 1,700 to 15,000 Nm³/hr of exhaust air. Each system size can be supplied as a two tower system, which is especially cost efficient, or as a three tower system providing extra purification efficiency. All system components, from tank to burner, fan and on to the control panel, are pre-assembled at the manufacturing location – this assures a high standard of manufacturing quality and fast, smooth installation at the customer’s factory. As a result it takes only three or four days from delivery to handover to the production team – including training of customer’s personnel.
Installation is even faster with the super compact Ecopure® CTO 100. This system size has a maximum capacity of 6,000 Nm³/hr and can be supplied as a turnkey unit that fits into a standard freight container. When installed it takes up just over 13 m² of floor space.
Dürr’s compact Ecopure® CTO systems are especially suitable for exhaust air purification in the chemical and pharmaceutical, printing and coating and automotive painting industries.
