Dürr’s Projects is an integrated software tool offering a structured approach to preparation and execution of complex projects. Developed by Dürr and thoroughly tested and optimized in use on projects of all sizes, the tool assists with day to day project management. Dürr has now put user licences for Projects on sale.
Complex projects, involving many and different groups of people, demand a great deal of information management. In many cases standard software enables companies to cover core processes, such as the management of schedules, costs and resources – but when it comes to specific needs associated with the much wider-ranging projects that are typical in plant and machinery construction, for example, there is frequently a lack of suitable tools and methods.
This is where Dürr’s Projects comes in. This software makes it possible to use a central information platform to administer, prepare and distribute project relevant data that is not covered by standard tools. As it is a web-based system everyone involved in the project, whether as a supplier, customer or part of the project management team, can enter information and retrieve it worldwide. Five modules provide assistance in adhering to accepted project execution processes: minutes and task management, change management, punch lists for outstanding items, site reports and requests for information. This ensures constant and total transparency in relation to schedule dates, costs and process status. In addition, individual task lists can be prepared, minutes of meetings distributed and project changes communicated. The rights of different user groups are defined by a role and project based user concept. If required, use can be limited to selected modules only.
Dürr Projects is designed for company wide use on a corporate intranet or internet basis and can be integrated into existing IT landscapes without difficulty. Because access is via a web-browser, no installation is required on the end user’s computer. The tool’s intuitive user interface allows users to learn how to work with Dürr Projects in just a few quick steps. A personal home page, an e-mail function, standardized reporting and a document management system are all included in the basic package.
