Crystal clear visualization – EMOS.Web for water treatment

It was the simplicity of using Dürr's EMOS.Web software that proved so convincing to Eurowater, a leading manufacturer of water treatment systems. On a recent project for one of its customers Eurowater opted for EMOS.Web for plant visualization so as to provide a more comprehensive and straightforward overview of all system functions.
As EMOS.Web is able to link in the signals emitted by many different controls, existing control configurations can be equipped/upgraded with a visualization system both quickly and easily. Eurowater's end customer is a successful supplier of specialist glassware and with EMOS.Web is able to track all information relating to plant status and to any error messages via a single monitor. Build up of the data stored can be displayed using the 'trend' function, allowing long term performance of the plant to be monitored. On request, other additional functions, web-based alarm information for example, can also be incorporated later. Crystal clarity is thus brought to water treatment.
EMOS.Web was child's play for Eurowater: using PowerPoint as the Editor it was easy to generate and parameterize straightforward images of the plant. After completing the first stages using the demo version – downloaded direct from the Dürr platform (www.software.durr.com) – it was possible, without losing any data, to transfer the results obtained to the original plant.
Both Eurowater and the end customer, Trösch Glass, have indicated their satisfaction with EMOS.Web as even the simplest and lowest priced Basic Package is capable of handling wide-ranging tasks. Further utilization for water treatment plant applications is planned.
