Concept of teleservice

The online Teleservice provided by Dürr is aimed at diagnosing faults, the source of fault signals and answering questions relating to display content or parameters of the plant affected. Parts of programs are changed or transmitted only if necessary. The Teleservice is not intended as a channel for the transmission of parameter data. There is no remote control of the plant.
The following  basic items are included in our Teleservice:

 

  • Supply of the modem required
  • Connection of the modem to the plant control system
  • Supply and installation of PC – Anywhere software
  • Establishment of a test connection to Dürr Assembly Products
  • Provision of instruction to operating personnel on how to use our Teleservice
  • Preparation and supply of documentation


Scope of package

Our Teleservice enables the customer, when necessary, to establish an online connection between the mainframe for his plant and a PC at Dürr. The online connection enables a Dürr employee to operate the plant mainframe as though he were “on-site“.

Below is a list of the services most frequently provided in such cases:

 

  • Assisting in identifying faults in peripheral equipment and carrying out measures to correct these
  • Transmitting data files
  • Altering parameters for the purposes of optimization or testing
  • Changing parts of programs
  • Carrying out compilation procedures
  • Reconfigurations
  • Checking, providing support in or carrying out evaluations of test series.


In view of the wide variety of different IT structures used by customers, the communication path to be used (analog, ISDN, internet, intranet,..) and the exact scope of the package to be supplied is defined during the course of personal meetings.
