Dürr AG Appoints Board Member for Automotion Business Unit

Frank Haun, 41, has been appointed Member of the Board of Management of Dürr AG, Stuttgart with effect from May 15, 2000. Mr Haun will assume responsibility for the Automotion business unit within the Dürr Group, which was created early this year along with other reorganizational measures.

Mr Haun will remain Member of the Board of Carl Schenck AG, Darmstadt, which was taken over by Dürr with a majority stake in early April, and will also head the Test and Automation Systems business unit (Pegasus) within the legal entity Schenck Pegasus GmbH, where he is Chairman of the Board of Management. Mr Haun is also responsible for IT in the Schenck Group.

Schenck Pegasus is world market leader of test and automation systems for the research and development of vehicles and components, and also for production processes in the automotive and automotive component suppliers industry.

Dürr's activities in the Automotion business unit include planning, engineering, construction and installation of material flow and assembly systems for various production stages in automobile manufacturing, in particular turnkey systems for final vehicle assembly.

In 1999 the company achieved sales of over EUR 1.2 bn with about 7,000 employees. The Dürr Group is headed by Dürr AG as strategic management holding company.
