Dürr AG Enlarges its Board

Dr. Norbert Klapper, 37, has been appointed as a full member of the board of management of Dürr AG, Stuttgart, effective 01.10.2000. Dr. Klapper will be in charge of the newly created INTX business unit. Moreover he will be responsible for functions that cut across business unit boundaries within the group such as e-commerce and global sourcing.
In Dr. Klapper's last position as vice president and managing partner of the business consulting firm Arthur D. Little International, Inc., Germany, he was in charge of consulting activities focussing on operations management.
Dr. Reinhold Grau, 45, has been appointed as a full member of the board of management, effective 01.11.2000. He has been a deputy member of the board of management of Dürr AG since November 1999. Dr. Grau and Rolf Haueise are jointly responsible for the Paint Systems business unit.
The technology group Dürr AG is a world top supplier of production systems and services particularly to the automobile industry as well as other key industries. Dürr employs approximately 11,000 people and expects sales worth about EUR 1.7 billion for the financial year of 2000.
