Dürr receives special award from Ferrari

Dürr has received a special mention of the President's Award for top performance suppliers from the Ferrari Maserati Group. The Italian sports car manufacturer honored Dürr for their outstanding achievements in connection with the delivery and installation of a new paint shop at the company's operation in Maranello.

At the annual awards ceremony for suppliers "Podio Ferrari 2004" in Maranello, Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo and Vice Chairman Piero Ferrari above all praised "the high technological content and technical skill demonstrated by Dürr during the creation of the paint shop." The award was received by Dr. Heinz Dürr, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dürr AG. "The staff of Ferrari and Dürr collaborated on this contract in an exemplary manner. The outcome is one of the most modern paint shops in the world," Dr. Heinz Dürr said.

The new paint shop was planned and installed by Italian and German Dürr companies. One of the innovations is the first-time introduction of solvent-free powder paint as prime coat by Ferrari in Maranello. This offers high levels of quality and minimum emissions.

With the annually presented President's Award, the Ferrari Maserati Group honors the innovation, excellence and product development achievements of its suppliers.

The Dürr Group is one of the world's leading suppliers of production systems and manufacturing support services for the automotive industry. In 2003, Dürr achieved sales of about Euro 2.3 billion with about 12,750 employees.
