Dürr receives order from Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Company Ltd. (DPCA) for a paint shop to be constructed at their Wuhan works – first turnkey paint shop to be supplied by Dürr to this Sino-Franco Joint Venture

Stuttgart, September 13, 2006 - Dürr has received its first order from auto manufacturer Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Company Ltd. (DPCA) for the construction of a complete paint shop at DPCAs Wuhan factory in the Chinese province of Hubei. DPCA is a joint venture between Chinese auto manufacturer Dongfeng and the French PSA Group (Peugeot Société Anonyme). Painting of the first Peugeot based bodies, known as models N21, T21, T11, B53 and PF3, is expected to begin in February 2008. The new paint shop that has a planned capacity of 38 units per hour is to be built adjacent to the existing DPCA factory in Wuhan.
In addition to a pretreatment and ED (electrophoretic dip) plant, spray booths, work stations, ovens and conveyor systems Dürrs scope of supply includes the electrical systems and supervisory and control systems. The order also covers the supply of 20 paint and two sealing robots as well as paint supply systems. An international engineering team will co-ordinate handling of the order.
