PASIO – A fresh wind for balancing

It is still less than 100 years ago that Carl Schenck, together with Franz Lawaczeck, designed the first functional balancing machine. Almost 100 years later, Schenck is bringing onto the market with the PASIO a new generation of machines which continue and further develop this tradition. In a logical concept combining creativity and experience, many ideas have become reality – for better balancing.
The new PASIO compact horizontal balancing machine is the perfect solution for all rotors up to 50 kg in weight and diameters up to 600 mm. The PASIO is designed to be transported by crane, and is therefore easy to transport and commission: a forklift truck or lifting trolley, and a power supply connection are all that is needed. Simply position where required, remove the transport safety devices and connect the power supply – finished: no foundations, no waiting times. And so that the PASIO still cuts a good figure when it has found its place, we have reduced the space requirement by 40 to 60% in comparison to a conventional balancing machine – which also simplifies your space planning.
In the development of the PASIO, we have placed special emphasis on ease of operation. The overall concept enables rapid familiarization, and therefore easy, safe and fault-free operation. The protective hood is child’s play to open and close, and the one-hand belt drive can quickly be adjusted to the rotor without the use of tools. The measuring units also form part of this concept: user guidance, clear text correction instructions, EasyMode, or touch-screen operation here provide the key to clear understanding of the balancing process.
And the technology? Equipped with the finest technical ingredients, the PASIO creates the basis for perfect balancing: for example, the housing of mineral casting. With its outstanding properties, this modern material is just made for a balancing machine, dampening vibrations by up to 10x as much as conventional grey cast-iron. Or the new one-hand belt drive: thanks to its simple operation, you will soon wonder how you ever managed without it. And last but not least, the measurement technology: with the CAB 920, we have equipped the PASIO with our latest, state-of-the-art measuring unit. Thanks to its modern operating concept with touch-screen operation, technical perfection and comprehensive versatility, it makes the perfect complement to the PASIO – a completely fresh wind for balancing.
