6th Dürr Open House in September

Stuttgart, May 24, 2007 - On their 6th "Open House" from September 21, Dürr Systems GmbH will introduce innovative technologies for the painting of bodies and epoxy add-on pieces. The presentation of the second generation of the Dürr painting robot with the brand name EcoRP will be one of the highlights of the in-house exhibition at the Bietigheim-Bissingen site. Next to a robot station for interior painting, Dürr will also show EcoRP handling devices that complete the spectrum for the fully automatic paint application. A further product innovation from the application technology which Dürr will introduce in September is the new piston dosing system for the direct charge of waterbased paints on the robot arm. In the dryer technology, Dürr will demonstrate developments in the field of ultraviolet curing of paints. In addition to that, the visitors will be informed about the RoDip4, the new generation in the family of rotation dip-coating processes. For this, there will be a shuttlebus connection to Dürr in Stuttgart Zuffenhausen, where a RoDip4 pilot system has been installed.
Dr. Hans Schumacher, director of the Dürr Application Technology division summarizes the object of the Open House: "Our customers will be presented with innovative solutions which are aligned to the core demands on the modern painting process: more efficiency, quality and environmental compatibility. For this, we offer a mix of completely new products, developments and visions for the future."
The Open House that Dürr hosts every two years will begin on September 21 with a lecture symposium for factory, planning and paintshop managers. From September 24 to 28, one-day inspections with lectures and product demonstrations will then be on the program for the visitors. Finally on September 29, Dürr will organize an open house day for employees and their families.
