Dürr to introduce innovative color changer on Hanover fair
04/07/2008
Bietigheim-Bissingen, 07 April 2008 - With the EcoPurge LCC color change system, Dürr will present an innovative technology on the Hanover fair 2008 that leads to reduced paint losses and shorter process times during the color change.
In the automatic painting installations of automotive manufacturers and subcontractors, the paints for the painting must be provided flexibly in the color desired by the customer. For this, a purgeable color change system is needed. The color change must occur quickly, paint losses must remain minimal.
With the new EcoLCC color changer, each color is activated by means of docking to the relevant paint valve. The EcoLCC does not have any common paint channel anymore. The paint hose leading to the paint atomizer has the same length for all paint colors, paint carryover or the intrusion of paint through defective valves are technically impossible.
The paint color changer is usable with basic technology and high performance for all paint and charging systems in the exterior and interior painting in new systems and for reconstructions. It can be designed variably for 12, 24 and 36 colors.
Due to the very flat design, up to 24 colors with color circulation or 36 colors with stub and dosing pump on the robot arm 2 are possible for interior painting for the first time, also for 2-component paints. The color change times are reduced to less than 10 seconds while the paint loss per change process is reduced to less than 10 ml. Dürr presents the EcoLCC in Hanover within the framework of the leading fair Factory Automation on the Volkswagen stand D31 in hall 16.
