We ensure diversity when hiring staff for any level within the Group. We especially aim to give adequate consideration to women, also in managerial positions. Diversity is a key element for our economic success. We therefore promote collaboration – across national boundaries, between different generations, and by providing equal opportunities for men and women.
Through regular employee surveys (the last one was conducted in June 2013) we obtain important feedback for improving the working climate and work situation within the company. As an engineering group, we rely in special measure on the know-how, dedication and experience of our employees. We therefore organize a systematic transfer of knowledge. In 2012 employees took part in 6,737 further training measures, after 5,215 the year before.
Dürr´s recogniction as “Top Employer Automotive” underpins that we rank among the most attractive employers in our industry.
We received this prestigious award in October 2012 the second time in a row and came sixth out of the 22 finalists.
Dürr scored particularly well in the categories of remuneration system, innovation management, corporate culture and work-life balance.
The satisfaction of our employees is also reflected in the relatively low turnover rate of 4.6%, after 6.0% the year before. In China we have been able to reduce the rate from over 20% to 3.7% within the last four years.
