Dürr is also a competent partner for turbine assembly and dismantling tasks. A "pulse line" is currently being developed for supply to Rolls Royce at Derby (GB). Essentially this centers on conveyor technology for use in the production of turbines. A highlight of the system will be flexible work platforms that are moved forward to the next assembly station automatically to match the index sequence. Rolls Royce will be the first steel turbine manufacturer to have an indexed assembly line - and it will be supplied by Dürr.
