Dürr AG expands Board of Management: Dr. Jochen Weyrauch appointed as new member
Bietigheim-Bissingen, December 15, 2016 – The Supervisory Board of Dürr AG has appointed Dr. Jochen Weyrauch to the Board of Management with effect from January 1, 2017. The Board of Management will thus be expanded from two to three members.
Klaus Eberhardt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dürr AG says: "The expansion of the Board of Management is the Supervisory Board's response to the Group's growth as part of the 'Dürr 2020' strategy. At top management level, this puts Dürr in an excellent position for future development." In 2014 Dürr became the majority shareholder of the HOMAG Group, world market leader in woodworking machinery. This increased sales revenues by around € 1 billion to over € 3.7 billion in 2015. Dürr is aiming to generate sales revenues of € 4 to 5 billion by 2020.
"I am delighted to welcome Dr. Weyrauch to our company. He has a high level of expertise in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in strategic corporate development. He is already well acquainted with Dürr from his time on the Board of Management of Carl Schenck AG", says Klaus Eberhardt.
Dr. Jochen Weyrauch (50) belonged to the Board of Management of Dürr subsidiary Carl Schenck AG between 2003 and 2005. Together with Ralf W. Dieter, who was CEO of Schenck at the time and is now CEO of Dürr AG, he successfully implemented Schenck's reorientation. Dr. Weyrauch left Schenck's Board of Management at the end of 2005 following the management buy-out of Group subsidiary Schenck Process GmbH, which he led. Until his departure in 2014, Dr. Weyrauch shaped the growth strategy of the newly independent Schenck Process GmbH as its CEO. Most recently, he worked as an independent consultant.
Dr. Weyrauch will be responsible within the Board of Management for the Measuring and Process Systems as well as Clean Technology Systems divisions, and will direct the corporate functions of Corporate Development and Information Technology. Ralf W. Dieter will remain in charge of the Paint and Final Assembly Systems as well as Application Technology divisions. He will also take over CFO Ralph Heuwing's responsibility for the Woodworking Machinery and Systems division, consisting of the HOMAG Group.
