Ecopure SCR systems are used for NOx reduction. A catalyst convertes NOx to nitrogen and water. The chemical reaction at the catalyst is selective, that means the reduction of nitrogen comes first during unrequested side reactions of other solids are mostly suspended.

Flue gas purification
SCR  systems are also used for the thermal VAR application if the non selective catalytic reduction (SNCR) cant be applied directly in the burning chamber, because of the high NOx concentrations and the resulting high flow rate.

The SCR can be furthermore realised as flue gas purification stage after other thermal oxidation processes as tail end solution.

Stand alone

Ecopure SCR can be also a stand alone system, which purifies the exhaust air for chemical processes.
