Dürr is one of the world’s leading providers of paint systems and assembly equipment for the automotive industry. In this role, Dürr is actively involved in the development of manufacturing solutions for electric vehicles.

Leveraging its expertise in final assembly, adhesives, testing and filling technology, and automation, Dürr focuses on the development of production systems for vehicle batteries. This includes new concepts for assembling batteries, and for installing them in vehicles. In addition to production systems, Dürr also builds automated battery exchange stations, allowing extremely rapid replacement of batteries.

A further attractive area for Dürr is the manufacture of the cells required to make batteries. With regard to coating electrodes, for example, Dürr can draw on its extensive experience in automotive painting and coating. Dürr already offers complete assembly lines for manufacturing batteries – and has won a number of significant contracts from the automotive industry.
