Dürr again ranks as one of the top suppliers to GM in 1999

This is already the third time altogether and the second consecutive time that Dürr Systems GmbH, Stuttgart, has received the GM Supplier of the Year Award which is awarded annually by General Motors to its top suppliers worldwide. With this coveted award, the biggest international car manufacturer expresses his respect for Dürr's performance in the area of paint shop equipment, in particular in technology, quality, service and price.

"We consider this award as an appreciation of our work. The fact that we are amongst the GM top suppliers for the third time shows that we are a reliable partner for GM's worldwide modernization strategy thanks to our high technological standards and the motivation of our employees", said Hinrich J. Woebcken, Managing Director of Sales of Dürr Systems GmbH when he received the award on May 20 in Munich.

The GM Supplier of the Year Award has been awarded by General Motors since 1992. This year the company honored 181 suppliers from 22 countries.

The Dürr technology group is a leading supplier of production systems and services for the automotive industry and other industrial branches worldwide. In 1999 the company achieved sales of over 1.2 bn with about 7000 employees. The Dürr Group is headed by Dürr AG as strategic management holding company.
