Dürr supplies turnkey paint shop to Ferrari worth 25 million euros

Dürr AG has won a contract for the delivery of a complete paint shop worth about 25 million euros to Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari, Maranello through its Paint Systems business unit.
Among the most updated technologies, solvent free powder paint will be applied as a prime coat, offering highest levels of quality and minimum emissions. The complete system consists of pretreatment, cathodic electro-dip coating, spray booths with robots for paint application, work and inspection zones, cavity wax preservation, conveyor and control systems plus air purification. Great importance was attached to a favorable working environment.
The new paint shop will be planned and installed by the Italian Dürr companies Olpidürr S.p.A. and Verind S.p.A., Milano in cooperation with German Dürr companies. Start of production is scheduled for early in 2003.
