Dürr to have New Chairman of the Board of Management

The Supervisory Board of Dürr AG has nominated Stephan Rojahn, Dipl.-Ing. (accredited engineer), 53, as a member of the Dürr AG Board of Management as of October 1, 2002 and as the Chairman of the Management Board as of January 1, 2003.

Hans Dieter Pötsch, Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. (accredited industrial engineer), 51, the present Chairman of the Management Board will leave the company at his own request on December 31, 2002 and join the Volkswagen AG Board of Management.

Mr Rojahn, mechanical and industrial engineer by profession, has worked for Robert Bosch GmbH for 23 years in various positions and countries. Recently, Mr Rojahn has been a member of the Bosch group's Board of Management.

Mr Pötsch has been the Chairman of the Dürr AG Board of Management since 1995. During his time of activity the Dürr Group expanded its operations significantly, reaching sales of Euro 2.2 billion with a workforce of over 12,000 in 2001.

The Supervisory Board has complied with Mr Pötsch's wish to face yet another challenge and thanks him for his long-time commitment. Mr Pötsch started his career in the automotive industry.
