(Ad-hoc) Dürr and Voith sign contract for the sale of Premier

As announced in February 2005, Dürr AG, Stuttgart, is selling its Services business unit to Voith Group, which is based in Heidenheim. The Services unit consists of the Premier Group including the core company Premier Manufacturing Support Services Inc., based in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The purchase agreement was signed today at 8 p.m.

Both parties to the contract agreed to maintain confidentiality as regards the purchase price. Consummation of the purchase agreement is subject to the usual qualifications including approvals from antitrust authorities.

On February 23, 2005 Dürr AG announced that as part of the realignment in Group structure it intended to spin off its Services business unit. According to the preliminary financial figures prepared according to IFRS, the Premier Group achieved 2004 sales of EUR 159 million and posted a profit. The company has approximately 5,500 employees.

Since March 1, 2005 Dürr has reorganized its operations to hinge on two divisions, Paint and Assembly Systems as well as Measuring and Process Systems. Previously, the corporation had five business units.
