EcoRP4 – Asymmetry increases efficiency
The EcoRP4, the fourth generation of Dürr painting robots, combines intelligent mobility with a clear focus on efficiency and production safety. The result is a solution that is ideal for high production rates and leads to a future-proof painting line.
One key feature of the EcoRP4 is its asymmetry. The tool center point (TCP) of the applicator has been offset laterally by more than 200 millimeters and the distance between the interference contour of the robot arm and the vehicle body has now also been increased. This makes it much easier for the applicator to reach difficult-to-access areas such as door edges, hinges and transition zones. Dürr supplies the new robot in mirrored versions for use on both sides of the body.
Simplified drive system for maximum cost-effectiveness
Instead of angular gears being used, the drive gear wheel is now fitted directly on the motor shaft. This reduces the number of components and results in a significant fall in the amount of maintenance work needed. This simplification plays a major role in the higher lifecycles of the EcoRP4.
Flexibility for every painting line
The robot is specifically designed for painting lines with high volumes and offers flexible integration options – from floor mounting and tower systems to linear displacement rails. As a result, it can be adapted to the individual layouts of modern painting lines The EcoRP4 also supports the High Transfer Efficiency (HTE) process and can be fitted with the latest Dürr application technology.
