Your Tasks:
- Duties: Responsible for designing and engineering Paint Finishing Systems for the automotive and non-automotive industries on the Pretreatment and E-coat process; responsible for the complete system design, analysis, and engineering calculation; interpret schematics to develop complete system designs, maintain project schedules, and interpret mechanical drawings; select equipment to be purchased and develop subcontract bid package documentation; responsible for budgets for purchased equipment and engineering labor costs; assist subcontract engineering and CAD engineers; work closely with Manufacturing during production to ensure product meets both customer and internal design requirements; utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Visio, Navisworks, and SAP to perform duties; attend and/or conduct design reviews; support on-site installation and commissioning crew, and perform site verification and field checking as required; attend customer meetings to understand project requirements, and communicate with the project team (electrical and software), customers, and suppliers; and understand, diagnose, and solve real or potential design problems
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
- Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Mechanical Designer, as a Mechanical Lead Engineer, as a Product Engineer, or in a related occupation;
- Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years’ use of all the following: AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Visio, Navisworks, and SAP.
- Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Location: Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $100,000 per year
