We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Process Engineer, that be responsible for designing processes for automotive coating systems. The main objective is to ensure the efficiency, safety and sustainability of operations, in compliance with quality standards and current regulations.
Your Tasks
- Process design and optimization
Develop technical solutions aligned with production process requirements; define functional logic and integration in collaboration with the controls team; size
plant equipment and components; identify and implement actions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization
- Data Analysis and Operational support
Monitor process parameters and analyze data to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues; support plant operations and provide on-site involvement during plant commissioning and start-up phases
- Technical documentation and safety
Prepare and update process flow diagrams, P&IDs, plant functional specifications, operating manuals, and system/equipment sizing documentation; support risk analysis activities and safety layout development
- Project technical Management and Customer interface
Provide technical clarification of project scope with customers; manage the technical aspects of projects in collaboration with internal teams; support the sales department during offer preparation and RFQ analysis
- Site visits and Regulatory Compliance
Conduct regular site and customer visits to address technical issues and promote knowledge sharing; ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality regulations across production processes.
Your Skills
- Degree in Industrial Engineering (master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in process engineering or related fields (engineering, chemical, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
- IT Skills: Auto-Cad / Plant, Microstation
- Ability to draft and interpret P&IDs and PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams).
- Familiarity with industry regulations/directives (e.g., ATEX, SIL, HAZOP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented and good communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for training and project support.
- Hands-on attitude and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills in English (Italian and German are a plus)
