Dürr’s activities in India began in the 1950s with the galvanizing line built for Tata at Jamshedpur. With its impeccable kick start, Dürr officially started its full-on activities in 1997 with the foundation of Dürr India Private Ltd.
Since then we have been serving the industry with outstanding automation expertise in painting, application technology, final assembly, exhaust air purification and energy efficiency. Dürr India has offered Paint shop in India for the Passenger Vehicle, Commercial Vehicles, Two Wheeler Vehicles, Three Wheeler Vehicles, Construction Vehicles, Agricultural Vehicles and many other Plastic and metallic components.
With the global acquisition of Megtec & Universal, our environmental solutions portfolio in India as well strengthened further which now include oxidizers, fabric filters, wet and dry electrostatic precipitators, solvent recovery systems, scrubbers, selective catalytic and selective non-catalytic reduction products, and distillation equipment. We also supply industrial dryers and ovens for roll-to-roll and web-forming applications such as graphics printing, nonwoven fabrics, membranes, and optical films; specialized coating lines for lithium-ion battery electrodes and material handling systems for graphics printing. Dürr Universal provides custom-engineered acoustic systems and emission/filtration solutions for the power generation, oil and gas, industrial processing, rail transportation, and backup power markets.
Dürr has expanded its capacities on the sub-continent with the aim not just of serving the local market, but also of making itself available to customers outside India as an Engineering Center with international expertise and local experience. In our training center, we offer exclusive robot training for operating and maintenance staff. Our expertise covers effective solutions for greenfield consulting and projects, and all kinds of service and modification support for brownfield sites. In India, we have successfully installed more than 65 Paint lines, served more than 30 OEMs and more than 25 environmental solutions to the different type of industrial segments.
