Your Tasks:
- As a part of the Shared Services - Purchasing group, the team member will participate in a variety of types of projects. This includes Paint Shop Construction, Conveyor, Robot, Application and Pollution Control equipment, fabrication, and installation.
- Align, define and standardize purchasing processes and procedures according to company guidelines
- Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness in purchasing activities
- Support in meeting international laws related to purchasing and supply chain activities
- Work towards achieving company certificates in 3rd party standards related to purchasing excellence
- Define and standardize reporting processes and tools per direction from Management (i.e. Dashboards, automations, SRM tools, etc.)
- Utilize available tools and systems to create and maintain standardized reports and best practices for purchasing activities
- Support in completion of Sustainability requirements and compliance including supplier communication, follow up, escalation and conveying progress to management
- Perform other duties as assigned to support purchasing activities
- Travel: 25% or more as needed
Your Skills:
- Preferred 3+ years Purchasing experience, if possible, in the automotive environment
- Bachelor's degree - Supply chain/logistics, engineering, construction management or equivalent experience
- Good organization and time management skills - ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing work assignments.
- Professional experience in an English-speaking environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with pivot tables, macros, PowerBI preferred
- Experience with SAP is preferred
- Good communication skills, capable of facilitating and documenting meetings
- Experience in preparing meeting agendas, coordinating schedules, and sending out necessary materials in advance
