Waste heat to power - Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC)
One of the greatest challenges of our time is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. As a result, many companies are continuously seeking ways to optimize the energy efficiency and operating costs of their production facilities. Dürr offers you state-of-the-art solutions based on Cyplan® ORC technology.
The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is already a key technology for generating electricity from decentralized heat sources, even at low temperatures. In combination with the use of waste heat or renewable heat sources, Cyplan® ORC solutions generate CO2-free electricity through thermal recovery. This enables companies to profitably utilize unused thermal energy within a temperature range of 90–600°C, lower their electricity costs, produce useful heat, improve their carbon footprint, and strengthen their competitiveness.
Our Benefits:

A wide variety of heat sources are suitable for the ORC module. Industrial waste heat, engines, furnaces, biochar, gas turbines, geothermal energy or solar heat can all be used. The electricity generated can be used for self-supply or fed into a public network. In addition, the residual heat can be utilized for local and district heating networks, drying processes, fermentation processes, or greenhouses.
