Ecopure® PAS – Wet scrubbers
Dürr offers a wide range of solutions for removing particles from exhaust air. The Ecopure® PAS product family includes a variety of systems that transfer solid pollutants from exhaust air into a liquid phase which generally consists of water. Ecopure® PAS Air Pollution Control Systems are based on the separation process.
Ecopure® PAS benefits
- Can be used for removing a variety of substances, including problematic pollutants
- Modules can be combined to achieve the highest level of purification
- Designed for easy maintenance, no time-consuming filter replacement needed
- Dust is removed without the addition of chemicals or sorbents
Operating principle Ecopure® PAS
Depending on the level of exhaust air purification required, the following types of Ecopure® PAS wet scrubber system are available:
- Centrifugal scrubber
- Rotary scrubber
- Dynamic scrubber
- Venturi scrubber
In all of the Ecopure® PAS systems, the pollutants are separated out by means of speed differences and centrifugal forces. These are generated either by the flow of exhaust gas or artificially using an external source of acceleration energy.
Application areas Ecopure® PAS
Ecopure® PAS wet scrubbers are used in a wide range of sectors, including the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The exhaust air from processes in the waste treatment and timber sectors can also be purified in this type of system. In addition, the following areas of industry use Ecopure® PAS wet scrubbers for the removal of pollutants:
- Anode manufacturing
- Ceramic production
- Fire testing facilities
- Foundries
Technical specifications Ecopure® PAS
Ecopure® PAS systems are used to remove a variety of solid particles from exhaust gases. The wet scrubbing process is ideal for separating out adhesive and hygroscopic substances and pollutants that cannot be removed using filters.
The exhaust air volume flow of Ecopure® PAS systems is generally between 1000 Nm3/h and 50,000 Nm3/h. Depending on the type of machine and the particle size, separation levels of up to 99.9% can be achieved.
Construction Ecopure® PAS
Ecopure® PAS wet scrubbers from Dürr can be supplied in glass-fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) or in stainless steel.
