Flex Bolt automatic bolting system
The highest precision in bolting including the advantages of automatic processes.
The Flex bolt is a Cartesian axis system, that in the multilevel version of Flex decking is located on a dedicated intermediate floor called “mezzanine”. The pallet loaded with the mechanical parts and the car body on hanger move on the upper level after having joined in the marriage station. Proceeding to the next station they reach the first of many automatic bolting stations. This is where the Flex Bolts come into play managing the automatic bolting of the car underbody from below with a completely automatic process.
Flex bolt has been designed with only controlled axes, to increase the capacity and the precision of the system. It also ensures complete flexibility on the three axes, since it is programmable and configurable for different models produced simultaneously on the same line.
Flex bolt checks the correct tightening of the screws, transferring the data to a data concentrator PC.
Flex bolt communicates directly with a back-up station and is therefore able, if needed, to repeat the screwing processes automatically, without the intervention of the operator.
