Dürr InLine testing for more efficient test processes in vehicle manufacturing

Dürr’s pioneering InLine testing test stands are redefining vehicle testing standards in final assembly.

Our InLine testing paves the way to innovative solutions for new test and setting processes in vehicle manufacturing.

Automated processes in final assembly

Developed by Dürr specifically for vehicle final assembly, the unique InLine testing procedure relocates test processes from the end of line directly into the assembly line itself. Our procedure ensures not only fully automated measuring and setting processes but also efficient vehicle testing.

InLine testing for greater efficiency at the end of line

The conveyor system already in place transports the vehicles. The entire test area at the end of line is therefore no longer required or can be minimized to only the area needed for rework or quality assurance tasks, for example.

InLine testing saves space

Our InLine testing procedure considerably reduces the space required for vehicle testing. The pits previously required for the test process are no longer necessary. Additionally, infrastructure measures such as acoustic protection, ventilation and fire protection are now much simpler.

Fully automated conveyor system

With Dürr’s InLine testing procedure, factory employees no longer have to drive vehicles onto and off the test stands manually. This step is performed by our conveyor system instead. Here too, automated processes are a matter of course for us.

Easier access to setting points in the assembly line

Dürr InLine testing ensures more efficient test processes in final assembly and greatly improves accessibility to the setting points in the assembly line. This establishes the ideal prerequisites for automated processes as the basis for optimized cycle times and a consistent level of quality.

InLine testing is versatile

Dürr’s InLine testing procedure permits diverse application options in the field of vehicle testing. Wheel alignments and headlamp settings are possible; as are driver assistance system settings and calibrations and professional roll, brake and ABS test processes in final assembly.

Optimal setting and test processes for new vehicles

Latest-generation vehicles are particularly suited to InLine testing because they meet the prerequisites for automated assembly processes. The key aspects in this regard are the optimally designed setting points, the use of self-calibrating setting systems and over-the-air access to the automotive electronic system for the setting and test processes.
