The headlamp aiming system for commercial vehicles

Suppliers of commercial vehicles benefit from our in-depth experience gained from the more than 620 manual, semi- or fully-automated headlamp adjustment systems we have installed in the end of line areas of automotive manufacturers.

Headlamp aiming systems x-light truck for commercial vehicles ensure more security

Dürr develops and supplies systems adapted for the specific requirements of headlamp adjustment in commercial vehicles.

Headlamp adjustment system types

Comprise portal systems with a drive-through height of 2.2 metres for transporters and small vans and floor-based systems for trucks and buses with axle loads of up to ten tonnes.

The low- and high-beams and the fog lamps are measured and adjusted using a lamp box that can be manually or automatically positioned at a Z-column. The x-line automation software and proven measuring algorithms complement the system.

The Screw driver Smart Ergo Drive

Smart Ergo Drive, the optional semi-automatic adjustment tool, has torque and speed settings that have been specially designed for headlight and sensor adjustment. An integral sensor in the tool allows for reliable, high-quality adjustment processes.

The system can be expanded with tools for adjusting and checking:

  • Radar distance sensors – using an auxiliary mirror by modifying the light collection box
  • Infra-red distance sensors – using a monochrome camera in the light collection box
