  • Wheel alignment for commercial vehicles by Dürr

Wheel alignment for commercial vehicles

Wheel alignment for commercial vehicles with an axle load of up to ten tons with the wheel alignment stand x-wheel truck d.

Wheel alignment for commercial vehicles in high precision

Trucks and buses with an axle load of up to ten tons represent special challenges to the testing system. With the wheel alignment stand x-wheel truck d Dürr has set new standards in terms of measurement and adjustment of the wheel geometry. Well-known manufacturers like Volvo, Tata, DAF,  Leyland, Ford, FAW, Dongfeng, Iveco, Ashok Leyland, MAN, Geely, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Renault and Mercedes-Benz rely on that and benefit from the great advantages of this test stand regarding quality, flexibility and cycle time.

Measurement system x-3Dsurface

This globally unique system features automatic non-contact 3D measuring technology that can accommodate great variety in the number and position of axles and does not require any adaptation to measuring devices on tires and frames.

Thus, we are able to repeatably measure and adjust vehicle parameters such as toe and camber angles at any time and place and trace them to national and international standards.

The adjustment of axles is carried out by using turntables whereas the adjustment is based on the nominal values indicated by the manufacturers.

Additional advantage

The system ensures a precise adjustment of driver assistance systems like Active Cruise Control (ACC) or Lane Departure Warning (LDW). Besides, a floor guidance with Z-column is added to the wheel alignment stand, on which a calibration plate is installed which positions automatically. Via the steering wheel balancer the system can communicate with the control unit of the vehicle.

In addition to the alignment of the driver assistance systems the wheel alignment stand can be extended modularly by the headlamp aiming system x-light truck. Therefore, a further Z-column with light collecting box is mounted on the floor guidance.

With the in-house automation software x-line it is possible to react flexibly and quickly to customer requests.

Wheel alignment also for vans and minibuses

With the wheel alignment stand x-wheel Dürr has set new standards in terms of measurement and adjustment of the wheel geometry not only for passenger cars but also for vans and minibuses. Even with an axle load of two to three tons the wheel alignment stand x-wheel meets all high quality standards of our customers worldwide since many years. Therefore, we have adapted the wheel alignment stand to the special requirements of the spectrum of vans and minibuses with special components such as e.g. wider floating plates with higher load capacity, wider lanes and a modified wheelbase adjustment in order to satisfy the wider wheelbases and track widths as well as higher vehicle weights.

x-wheel extension components
