Dürrs large-volume spray booths

Large-volume spray booths – From a standardized application to a customized solution

Large-volume booths are used for painting difficult or large objects. The painting process is often manual, but can also be done automatically using robots.

Telescopic booth for painting large machines and components

A crane positions the parts that are to be painted in front of the retracted telescopic booth. When extended, the three-piece booth completely surrounds the parts. The painting of machine parts includes all work steps: cleaning, priming, top coat, preservation coat, and even the application of one and two-component (1K, 2K) paint. The paint (1K, 2K, water or solvent-based) is applied in the booth manually using an application set.

The benefits of telescopic booths

  • Space-saving integration in existing shop layouts
  • Heating by the flue gas line prevents loss of heat
  • Integrated exhaust air extraction
  • Heat recovery rotors

Combined painting and drying booths

These combined large-volume spray booths can be used for both painting and drying. After they have been painted, the components are usually left in the booth to dry. To this end, the combination booth is switched to drying mode using a mixture of fresh and recirculation air. For large objects, for example rail vehicles, a zone-switching option can be integrated. This is especially suitable for repair paint jobs.
