Your Tasks:
- Lead domestic and international automotive projects from project launch through installation, commissioning, customer acceptance, and closeout.
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, financial performance, risks, and key milestones to achieve contractual and profitability objectives.
- Serve as the primary customer liaison, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout project execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, contractors, installation, and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and implement recovery plans when timing or deliverables are at risk.
- Monitor procurement and supplier activities to ensure materials, equipment, and subcontracted services support project requirements and timing.
- Lead internal and customer project meetings, communicate project status and priorities, and drive timely resolution of action items.
- Identify technical, operational, commercial, and financial risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Manage project changes, ensuring technical requirements, schedule impacts, costs, and customer expectations are clearly documented and addressed.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining alignment with customer specifications, contractual requirements, and Dürr project standards.
Your Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- 5–7 years of project management experience within automotive manufacturing, industrial automation, material handling, or a related environment.
- Experience with General Assembly, final assembly, conveyance, End-of-Line systems, Fluid Fill systems, or comparable automotive manufacturing equipment.
- Direct Fluid Fill or End-of-Line experience is a plus but not required; strong General Assembly or conveyance experience will be considered.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineering concepts associated with automated manufacturing equipment.
- Experience managing industrial equipment projects involving engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, startup, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with machinery design, pneumatics, hydraulics, tooling, automation, and related manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, contracts, and customer requirements.
- Strong understanding of project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost management, and profitability.
- Strong customer-facing communication, leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; experience with ERP/MRP systems and SAP is preferred.
Willingness to travel approximately 20–30%, including internationally.
